This is the second course in the communications sequence. After a short review of the material covered in the first course, signal formatting and bandpass digital modulation/demodulation techniques are covered. The core concept of a communication link budget is then introduced and error control techniques are studied. Trade-offs in modulation and coding methods are also discussed.
