CLASS HOURS:       Section 02 – Wednesday, 2 hours a week from 2:00 – 3:55 pm in Bannow 133

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Students build and test circuits using Resistors, Capacitors and Inductors. They use the principles developed in the EE 213/PS212 lectures to design, analyze, build, and test these circuits.

CO-REQUISITE: EE 213/PS212, “Analog Circuits I” (or equivalent).
The student should also be able to simulate systems using Multisim (or LTSpice) and use MatLab.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

The student is expected to attend all the scheduled sessions.  If for some reason a student cannot make a session, you can participate online via Zoom (I will launch a Zoom Session at the start of each Lab session) and the instructor should be contacted in advance, if possible, to arrange to do and turn in the assigned work and get the assignment for the following class. The course includes an introductory lab on instrumentation and several Design exercises. The student is expected to turn in all work on time and late work will be penalized.

BlackBoard

The Blackboard system along with our course web site ,Zoom, and Quip will be used to manage this course.

Student groups must submit their assignments into Blackboard for archival and grading.  All work is to be typed (including equations), drawings are to be computer-based, not scanned, handwritten work.  The best file format to use is MS Word (doc or docx), but PDF can also be used (Other file formats will not be accepted). Reports are generally due by Friday one week after the Laboratory assignment. Late reports will receive a lower grade.

There are three sections of EE213L; one is mine.  If you miss a session, you can come to another section’s session on the same topic, but it will be the submission from your normal team that will count,
* All laboratory reports are each due and uploaded to Blackboard one week following the Lab Period.  Points will be deducted for late submissions.  These are Team submissions, but all team members should check that the correct file was submitted.
 Our Lab (BNW133) is accessible via your Stag Card if you need extra time to complete your work.

You will find that coming to the lab having done preliminary design work and with working Multisim simulations will allow you to easily complete your work in the allotted lab time.
